28-year-old robbery suspect Arrested in Abia – Aprokopikin


The Police Command in Abia State has captured a 28-year-old equipped theft suspect wanted for car snatching in the state.

The Commissioner of Police, Leye Oyebade, uncovered this to newsmen in Aba on Thursday through the summon’s representative, DSP Geoffery Ogbonnaya.

Oyebade said agents of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad connected to Obehie in Ukwa West Local Government Area, captured the suspect, Iheariorochi Enyinnaya, a local of Ogwe in Asa, taking after a tip-off.

He said that at the time of the arrest, Enyinnaya had in his possession parts of a Barreta Pistol suspected to have been used for car snatching operation.

The police boss further said that a Passat Volkswagen wagon with fake registration number, AGL 687 AQ, was also recovered from him.

The CP said that the suspect, residing in Umuebulungwu village in the same Ukwa local government area, had confessed to snatching the vehicle with the original number plate as KRD 289 AW.

As indicated by Oyebade, the presume said he grabbed the vehicle in February at Arochukwu in Abia with his burglary posse.

He said that the suspect had since his capture been giving imperative data that could prompt the capture of different individuals from the pack now on the loose.
